As capacity needs grow, NEC's exclusive Dynamic Pools allow you to add as few as one drive at a time. You save money because you never add more drives than you need and you avoid under-utilizing them.
Dynamic Pool LUNs can be expanded online without rebuilding the entire RAID group and RAID protection is still provided for all data. Because the additional capacity is available for provisioning and use immediately, you have more space to use quickly and safely. And because the D-Series allow SAS and SATA drives in the same enclosure, you don't need separate (underutilized) enclosures for each drive type.
