RAID-3DP provides protection with performance for sequential-access applications, RAID-6. Protection options are included for transaction-oriented/random-access applications as well as sequential-access applications and applications that are very performance sensitive. NEC's patented "Phoenix" self-healing technology can reduce the number of RAID rebuilds 30 to 50 percent by automatically repairing and recovering from what otherwise would be a drive failure. That way, applications stay at full performance longer.

Because they aren't detected in many other storage systems, silent data corruption results in incorrect or corrupt data being used by applications, leading to inconsistent results or to applications crashing inexplicably. The D-Series implements the T10 DIF standard and the Extended Data Integrity Feature to detect and fix silent storage errors before they reach the application, giving you peace-of-mind and fewer application errors.
