For scalability, NEC has designed architectures that allow customers to start with less than 1 terabyte to more than 1 petabyte. For performance, NEC can scale performance with capacity on a linear basis. This can potentially elongate the life of systems within the enterprise and mitigate the need to perform costly upgrades. With regard to availability, NEC's storage technologies offer both availability with performance, whereas most systems today may offer availability but lack performance in the event of a failure.
