Fast & Accessible Results

NEC's NeoFace WideNet is a hosted service that helps law enforcement personnel and agencies expedite criminal investigations and solve crimes faster and more easily. Accessible from any web browser, this facial recognition service enhances poor quality latent face images and video evidence, conducts searches against large mugshot and video repositories and provides easy to assess candidate matches.

In addition to turning previously unusable facial evidence into trustworthy hard evidence, NeoFace WideNet through its ability to simplify and quicken the sorting and identification of suspects can be an invaluable tool in solving and shortening the length of criminal investigations.

NeoFace WideNet offers

  • Universal browser compatibility to ensure reliable access to NeoFace Reveal, NeoFace WideNet's identification recognition software, regardless of browser preference.
  • A comprehensive set of standard and advanced image processing enhancements for greater quality and matching capability.
  • Multiple file formats, including BMP, TIFF, PGM, PNG, JPEG and J2K, for maximum usability.
  • Single file loading to a local available directory or batch input for uploading multiple images into a selected directory for ease of management.
  • Image sorting according to data and quality metrics for processing and searching of best available image and video options.
  • World-class security, protection and compliance through service-oriented architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure Government cloud computing.

Powerful Capability

NeoFace WideNet is a member of NEC's NeoFace face recognition suite of solutions that include NeoFace Reveal (recognition software), NeoFace Smart ID (mobile application), NeoFace Watch (matching software) and NeoFace Express (rapid access platform).

The strength of these NeoFace solutions lay in their tolerance of poor quality highly compressed surveillance videos and images. With the ability to match low resolution facial images down to 24 pixels between the eyes, NEC is able to outperform all other face recognition systems in matching accuracy.

NIST Validated

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) matching algorithm recognition benchmarks have consistently proven that NEC's biometric technologies have the fastest and most accurate face and fingerprint recognition algorithm and have the most resilient facial recognition technologies to viewing low angles, low resolution images and poor image quality.
