NEC On-Line Store Front Now Open for Business

Irving, Texas � January 6, 2016 - NEC Corporation of America (NEC), a leading technology provider for advanced IT, communications, and networking solutions, today announced an on-line store-front of applications, products and accessories for NEC's new UT 880 phone that is the latest endpoint that can interface to varied UCC platforms including the highly successful NEC UNIVERGE and Series 9000 unified communication solutions. NEC's new UT 880 Android based smart phone with brilliant graphic display screen is the centerpiece that hosts the many applications available on NEC's Marketplace.

As businesses plan future network direction and today utilize a host of architectures like fixed, hybrid and cloud communication services, the one constant that shapes their decisions are cost containment and smart operational efficiency. NEC's Marketplace helps to address these considerations and is another new development from NEC, whose unified communication solutions are rooted in NEC's "Smart Enterprise" solutions for unified communications. NEC's Marketplace offers free and paid applications, and some unified communication enhancements to the new UT880 Android phone. With advanced video and applications capabilities, the UT880 is premium Android-based VoIP phone designed to drive team work, performance, and overall return on investment. The UT880 offers cross-platform compatibility, enterprise connectivity, and on-going upgrades through proprietary and third-party applications. The launch of the NEC Marketplace App Store is expected to drive customer demand for these phones.
